Heather Jeffery
Heather is married with two children and is a primary school teacher. Heather spent two years out at Bethany Tanzania and is a member of Central Gospel Mission Nelson where she helps with the children's work.

John Fisher
John Fisher married to Dorothy with two children Naomi & Edward. John worked as a social worker until he retired. He is a member of St. James' Church, Blackburn where he is involved with many different aspects of Church work.

David Borland OBE
David Borland married to Dorothy has one daughter, Anne and two sons Christopher and John. David is retired and is Chair of Governors at Whalley Primary school . Visited Bethany for the first time in July - August 2005 and is now a regular visitor. In December 2006 David took over the responsibility of Treasurer from Leslie Clegg

Graham Pountain,
Graham Pountain, married to Sheila (right) with three children, Christian, Julie and Paul. Brought up in the Anglican Church. Graham has been involved since 1991 and acts as co-ordinator. Presently attending Ernest Street, Baptist Church, Church, Accrington.

married to Graham Pountain (left). Three married children and five grandchildren. For many years attended the Anglican church but now attends Ernest Street Baptist Chapel with Graham. Retired but involved in voluntary work in the UK.

Paul Pountain
Joined the UK team in 2008. Married Rebecca in 2006. Attends Saint John's C of E Church, Baxenden. Has previously visited Kenya with Tearfund and Christians in Sport. Paul has visited the Bethany Family on several occasions, the first of which was in 2002. Works as a Police Officer for Lancashire Constabulary.

Joined the UK team in 2008. Previously visited Zimbabwe with Oasis Trust before becoming involved with the Bethany Family in 2004. Has visited Bethany on several occasions, the first of which was in 2005. Attends Saint John's C of E Church, Baxenden. Works as Resource Planner for Lancashire Constabulary.

Derek Hartley
Having recently retired from my work as a fundraiser for The Leprosy Mission I am delighted to give time to The Bethany Family. I went to Tanzania in 2000 with my wife Jo and John Fisher and I was so impressed with the great family feel of Bethany and of course with its Christian ethos. My desire is to see the orphanage grow and education being offered on site - and to this end I will put all my effort into organising an annual fundraising event and in building up a network of church, school and group representatives from amongst our supporters.

The above team members each help with different areas of the work. Please contact them directly if you so wish. We are happy to visit churches, schools and other organisations and share our aims, our experiences etc.
We have both slides and video and a wealth of personal experience. Presentations can be from 10 mins to 90 mins. Short enough for school assemblies, long enough to be the major item for an evenings meeting.
