It was back in September 2012 when our choir last visited.  We are now planning a repeat visit this Autumn (2016) from mid September.  The children and Jesca (accompanying teacher) have their passports and have filled in their visa applications. They travel by bus down to Dar-es-Salam (712miles) to the British High Commission on the 9th July for interviews on the 11th and 12th July, where they will have their photos and finger prints taken. Hopefully three weeks later they will receive their Visas and we can then start booking flights and confirming visits etc.  Altogether there will be 16 members of the choir including the 12 children from Bethany, Jesca and the three girls who have just finished studying in the UK (teachers) and are intending joining the choir on their visits.  The choir are from 5 different tribes and they each speak three languages, their tribal language, Swahili their national language and of course English.  They are hoping their English will have improved by the end of the tour.  We hope to hire a 17 seater minibus for their travels.

Above:  In May and June this year (2016) we started to put down the bases for classrooms 5-8.  We then need to wait for further funds to start building the walls etc.  Emmakulatha our headmistress says that when the 8 Primary school classrooms have been competed she would like have a Secondary school!
