We are involved in providing financial support and volunteers to visit both long and short term to share in the work both here and in Tanzania. The Bethany children have now completed all their various walks to help raise funds for the new Land Cruiser (target now achieved)
We believe we should be exempt from paying VAT on top of this and are doing our very best to persuade the Revenue authorities that this is the case.  However other NGO’s working in the same field inform us that they have not been able to achieve VAT exempt status.  We are not very optomistic about succeeding in this endeavour.

Extract from Bethany School report - August 2020 by headteacher - Emmakulatha. ........we are very pleased with our STD 7 children. They have performed really well in their mock  examination (see attached document with the results of 8 schools).  There were 548 pupils who took this examination, Our pupils took the top positions, Chariki Juma and Yacobo Stephano were the first.   Because of our excellent performance  our education officer paid us a visit yesterday to congratulate our children for their excellent results....... More good news from Bethany School - this time std 4 mock examination results Extract from our headteacher’s email; .... our STD 4 pupils also did a ward mock exam, and you will be pleased to know that they have also done a brilliant job. 1009 pupils from all the 8 schools in our ward took this exam, Agness Chacha William (who is a Bethany girl) took the first place.
