Latest news from Bethany Tanzania 15th August 2020
Bethany Choir copied a video of Dave Wesley singing ‘God of Angel Armies’.  This video shows Dave Wesley talking about the Bethany Choirs version
You will by now be well aware of the tragic accident of the 23rd Feb 2020 when our Land Rover was damaged beyond repair.  We really need to replace it as we are the only NGO in our village and our vehicles are not only used by Bethany but also as an emergency vehicle for the villagers.  Below you will see a picture of our old Land Rover.  Alternative vehicles:  We are now considering other vehicles which may suit our needs better than just replacing it with the 12 seater multi-purpose Toyota Land Cruiser.  We are considering whether a 16 seater mini bus (seat belts for every child) and a double cab pickup (both Nissan) would meet our needs costing a little more than the cost of a Toyota Land Cruiser. Nissan are also prepared to offer a discount but have not been offered one by Toyota. VAT exempt Status: Jesca together with our accountant and lawyer Faustine Duttu are working hard to prepare accounts required by the Tanzanian government before being able to register for VAT exempt status. If we achieve this status it will avoid us paying 20% VAT on top of the £46,000 target price we are attempting to raise.

The Bethany children organise a sponsored walk The team at Bethany decided it would be a good idea for the children and staff to do their bit to raise funds for a new vehicle/s. They have split the children and staff into 5 groups who will do different length walks on different days.  The groups are as follows:

The wedding of Nkamba and Duttu For more photos (click here)
Report from Jesca Nkamba's wedding went really well yesterday and it was a busy day. As usual, time was often an issue as you know Tanzanian's can't stick to a plan but other than that I think Duttu and Nkamba enjoyed their day. They loved the videos and the various messages everyone sent, I think it is something they'll treasure during their married life as they seek to grow together in faith and in the service of their Saviour Christ Jesus.
